Four people were driving in a car when it was hit by a truck, All four died and went to heaven.

The keeper of the gate said to the four people:
"Before I can let you in, you must answer one question".

The Jew immediately walks up to St. Peter and says he will would like to be first.

So St. Peter asks him: “Who is the most recent Prophet of God?"

The Jew says, “That’s easy, it is Moses.

St. Peter tells the Rabbi to return to earth to do some independent research.

“Next!”

A Christian preacher then walks up, and St. Peter asks him: Tell me, who is the most recent Prophet of God?”

The preacher proudly answers…"It is Jesus! He was the only begotten Son of God.”

St. Peter shakes his head and returns the preacher to earth…

"Next!”

The Muslim steps forward, and St. Peter asks him the same question.

”Muhammad, may peace be upon Him!” he shouts.

“No! You must go do some Independent research.”

Meanwhile, a Baha’i is thinking...”I can nail this!”

The Baha’i walks up…St. Peter smiles at him, the Bahá'í grins back…St. Peter Nods, the grinning Baha’i nods back…

Then St. Peter asks: “Can you spell Huququ'lláh?"

During the cool summer evenings, the chief's nephew would go down the narrow piece of land, jetting out into the ocean, to feed eagles. The other villagers called him lazy when he went off to gaze at the skies rather than help dry salmon for the approaching winter. Only his grandmother believed in her heart that he would prove himself one day.

When the village became short of food, the uncle decided to move everyone, except his nephew, to the Euchlegan Rivers further north.

The nephew, now lonely and without food, watched as an eagle flew out to the spit. As he watched, the eagle released his tight hold on a salmon. 

He stumbled on rocks as he quickened his pace to get to the food. The nephew burst with joy when more eagles came with offerings for him.

Meanwhile, the uncle did not fare well. There were no Euchlegan in the rivers.

As they returned to the nephew they all noticed his strength from being well fed. He offered food to them. In return they gladly offered their wealth to him. He became a much respected man in the village which filled his grandmother with much happiness.

I once moved into an apartment a few doors down from a retirement home.  Every morning at 10, I watched from my window an old man walking around the block. One day I introduced myself, and we began walking regularly together, and we became friends.

I hadn’t seen the old New England shipbuilder for a while, and when I finally ran into him on the sidewalk he was crying. He said that he couldn’t remember my name, and he didn’t want me to think badly of him. Dementia was obviously setting in.

I asked him to sit with me on the bench nearby, where I told him not to worry, as I was sure he knew my name, but just couldn’t recall it.  I also said that the day may come when he couldn’t remember me at all, and I would still consider him my friend because our real friendship was of spirit.

A broad smile appeared on his face, and his eyes twinkled through his tears, and he said to me: “Thanks, Joe.”

We had a great laugh.
