'Abdu'l-Bahá and Cobh

This is a picture of my grandmother, Helen, with her two brothers, Dennis and Jack, in Killarney. When they emigrated to the United States, along with their sisters Mary and Jewel, they would have traveled by wagon to Cobh, and sailed from there to Boston.

I don't know how long they were in Boston, but they all settled in San Francisco.  Dennis, the eldest, became a postmaster in Berkeley, and Jack a policeman in San Francisco.

Uncle Jack was a mounted policeman--first on horseback, and later on motorcycles.
