Sderot Hatsiyonut, Mt. Carmel, Haifa, Israel
I was one of the pilgrims who had to run across the street to visit the Archives building and Seat of the Universal House of Justice in late January of 1990. Dodging traffic was a real concern, as the locals enjoyed a speedy drive down Mount Carmel. I thought to myself: 'Wouldn't it be wonderful if a bridge were built over Hatsiyonut?"
In fact, the road was lowered and a bridge, or terrace, was built. Here is an image showing the relationship between the Shrine of the Báb, Terrace 9 and Sderot Hatsiyonut on Mount Carmel, Israel.
